Tragic Single-Vehicle Accident Claims One Life in Shelby County
Shelby County, [13 NOV – 2023] – A single-vehicle accident in Shelby County turned fatal on Monday morning, prompting an investigation by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department. The incident occurred at 8:40 a.m. on London Road at County Road 700N.
According to deputies, the vehicle, occupied by Brandon Jones, 33, Darian Herald, 29, and their juvenile son, 5, all residents of Fairland, was traveling northbound on London Road. For reasons yet unknown, the vehicle exited the west side of London Road, eventually coming to a stop at the intersection of 700N and London Road.
The crash resulted in serious injuries to Jones and the juvenile, requiring immediate medical attention. Tragically, Darian Herald was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident is ongoing.
