The announcement of the main event and four additional matchups was made by UFC CEO Dana White, with the event slated to be broadcasted on ABC in the United States.

In addition to the highly anticipated Khamzat Chimaev vs. Whittaker clash, fans can look forward to a thrilling co-main event featuring Sergei Pavlovich taking on Alexander Volkov in a heavyweight showdown.

Furthermore, the welterweight division will witness an exciting matchup between Kelvin Gastelum and Daniel Rodriguez, while Johnny Walker returns to action against Volkan Oezdemir.

The event lineup also includes a compelling light heavyweight matchup between Sharabutdin Magomedov, known as Shara Bullet, and Ihor Potieria.

This event marks the beginning of a new chapter in the relationship between the UFC and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, expanding the promotion’s footprint in the Middle East beyond its longstanding partnership with Abu Dhabi.

In the main event, Chimaev, boasting an impeccable 13-0 record and coming off a hard-fought victory over former welterweight champion Kamaru Usman last October, will face his sternest challenge yet in former middleweight champion Whittaker. Whittaker, fresh off an impressive win over Paulo Costa, is expected to provide a formidable test for Chimaev.

With more fights anticipated to be unveiled in the lead-up to UFC Saudi Arabia, fight fans can eagerly anticipate an action-packed event showcasing top-tier talent from around the globe.
