The upcoming Easter long weekend promises favorable weather for outdoor activities like Easter parades and egg hunts.

For a comprehensive list ofrelated events and other happenings in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) during this long weekend, including road closures due to events and ongoing construction in Toronto, click here. Notably, lane restrictions on the Gardiner Expressway for long-term road work will be temporarily lifted from March 29th to 31st (Friday to Sunday) in observance of the Easter weekend.

As you plan your activities, consider the following schedule of what’s open and closed on Good Friday,  Sunday, and Monday:

Attractions
Operating hours for Good Friday and r Sunday are as follows:

Aga Khan Museum: 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Casa Loma: 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
CN Tower: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
High Park Zoo: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Hockey Hall of Fame: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Ontario Science Centre: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Ripley’s Aquarium: 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Royal Ontario Museum: 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Riverdale Farm: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Toronto Zoo: 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Toronto History Museums: Closed on Friday; open on Sunday
Grocery Stores/Pharmacies
Most major grocery stores will be closed on Good Friday and Sunday, although some select locations may remain open. Check with your local grocer for specific hours. Notable exceptions include:

Loblaws on Carlton Street: Open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Good Friday and 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on  Sunday
Rabba Fine Foods stores: Open on both days
Malls
Operating hours for select malls are as follows:

Dufferin Mall: Closed on Good Friday and  Sunday
Eaton Centre: Open on Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Fairview Mall: Closed on Good Friday and Easter Sunday
Markville: Open on Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; closed on  Sunday
Pacific Mall: Open year-round from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Scarborough Town Centre: Closed on Good Friday and Easter Sunday
Sherway Gardens: Closed on Good Friday and Easter Sunday
Square One Shopping Centre: Closed on Good Friday and  Sunday
Vaughan Mills: Closed on Good Friday and Easter Sunday
Yorkdale Mall: Closed on Good Friday and Easter Sunday
LCBO/Beer Stores
LCBO and Beer stores will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Sunday. Some LCBO locations may operate under reduced hours on  Monday.

Transit
The TTC will operate on a holiday schedule on Good Friday, with routes running as per Sunday schedules. Subway service will commence at 6 a.m., and routes that do not typically run on Sundays will not operate on Friday.

Additionally, there will be no subway service on Line 2 between St. George and Woodbine stations on Saturday, March 30th, and Sunday, March 31st, due to track work. Shuttle buses will be in operation, and certain stations will remain closed.

Aside from the subway closure, the TTC will run regular Sunday service on Easter Sunday.

GO Transit will also operate on a Sunday schedule on both Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
