The company recently teased the launch of its Wear OS 4 beta for TicWatch Pro 5 owners in its Facebook group. Mobvoi announced the commencement of the recruitment period for Pro 5 watch owners and specified that interested users must complete a questionnaire beforehand. The questionnaire will gather information about their Android devices, including details like name, age, and device specifications.

Before users can enroll their names for potential selection,  has laid out a few prerequisites.

Mobvoi emphasizes the importance of maintaining confidentiality throughout the testing phase, prohibiting the sharing of any photos or videos of the software. Selected participants will be required to sign a nondisclosure agreement (NDA) before gaining access, mirroring the approach taken in previous Wear OS 3 betas. The company urges accepted testers to integrate Wear OS 4 into their daily use of the TicWatch Pro 5 and promptly install any updates.

Furthermore, encourages active participation and discussions, along with providing feedback. However, these interactions must take place exclusively within Mobvoi’s designated Slack group channels.

Mobvoi has announced that the recruitment period for the Wear OS 4 beta will run until April 30. Selected testers will receive notifications approximately one week after the recruitment period concludes.

This initiative signals Mobvos efforts to regain consumer trust following frustrations surrounding the Wear OS 3 rollout. Many users expressed disappointment with the company’s delayed update compared to its competitors. Mob attributed the delay to its “proprietary dual architecture,” offering an explanation in July 2023.
