Throughout the season, Sam Pirosko o has been a standout player for the Gannon Golden Knights women’s basketball team, leading them to an impressive 35-2 overall record. As the number one seed, she has propelled the team to the NCAA D II Elite Eight Tournament.

In a remarkable achievement, Sam Pirosko was named the NCAA Division II Player of the Year by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association. This recognition comes on the heels of her stellar performance in the NCAA DII Atlantic Regional Tournament, where she was crowned MVP as Gannon secured victory over Fayetteville State with a commanding 72-47 win.

According to Gannon Athletics, Pirosko boasts impressive statistics, averaging 19.6 points and 8.1 rebounds per game. She has also etched her name in Gannon’s record books, holding the record for single-season scoring with an impressive 726 points.
