Foldable Smartphone

The top five most popular Foldable Smartphone include the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5, Huawei Mate X3, Honor Magic Vs2, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5, and the Oppo Find N3 Flip. The top 10 chart features models from Samsung, Honor, Oppo, Huawei, and Xiaomi.

Although Foldable Smartphone Samsung dominated the market in Q4 2023, the sales of Z Flip5 and Z Fold5 fell below expectations. The current lull in Samsung’s Z-series is expected to enable Huawei to surpass Samsung for the first time in Q1 2024. The success of the Huawei Mate X5 and the Huawei Pocket 2 is predicted to boost the foldable market’s size, with Huawei’s use of BOE displays allowing BOE to surpass Samsung Display temporarily.

However, DSCC anticipates a temporary shift in leadership, with Samsung regaining the top position after the anticipated release of the Galaxy Z Flip6 and Z Fold6 in Q3 2024. Despite this, Huawei is forecasted to gain market share compared to 2023, while Oppo and vivo may lose ground due to the absence of new clamshell Foldable Smartphone in their product lineup. The clamshell segment is expected to witness growth in 2024, driven by new releases from Samsung, Huawei, Motorola, and Honor.
