For the first time ever, a doggie egg hunt event is coming to Eastern Iowa, promising a tail-wagging good time for our four-legged companions. Hosted by Davenport Parks and Recreation in collaboration with the Humane Society of Scott County, the Doggie Egg Hunt will take place at Centennial Park in Davenport this Saturday, March 23rd.

This unique event offers a range of activities and treats for both dogs and their owners to enjoy. Local pet-related businesses will be on-site, showcasing their products and services while providing freebies, discounts, and valuable coupons. Attendees can indulge in activities such as pet grooming, professional photoshoots, toy crafting, and sampling delicious food and beverages, including dog-friendly snacks.

In addition to the fun-filled activities, the event aims to promote the health and well-being of our furry friends. Free microchipping services will be available courtesy of the Humane Society of Scott County and Quad City Animal Welfare Center, ensuring the safety of pets in case they ever get lost. Informational booths and animal rescue organizations will also be present, offering valuable resources and encouraging responsible pet ownership.

Families attending the Doggie Egg Hunt will have the opportunity to capture memorable moments with the Easter Bunny, adding an extra dose of holiday cheer to the event. Best of all, admission to the event is entirely free, and no pre-registration is required. The Small, Slow, Seniors (Puppies and Teenagers) Hunt will begin at 10:15 a.m., followed by the Big, Bouncy, Babies (Teenagers and Active Seniors) Hunt at 12 p.m. Dog owners are encouraged to bring their furry friends along for a day of adventure and fun.
